New PNR Stations in CamSur Set to Enhance Commuter Experience

Libmanan: Passengers boarding and alighting from the Philippine National Railways (PNR) will soon find their experience more comfortable with the inauguration of the new Libmanan station in Camarines Sur Wednesday. The opening of the Naga-Lupi route is anticipated in October.

According to Philippines News Agency, PNR chairperson Michael Ted Macapagal stated that these stations are a testament to how PNR is fulfilling the President's order to increase trips, aiming to establish a direct line from Bicol to Laguna. For the residents of Libmanan and Lupi in Camarines Sur, these new stations offer significant benefits, making waiting and boarding the train more comfortable.

PNR General Manager Deovanni Miranda mentioned that the Naga to Lupi route would span 47 kilometers and include five stations along with 11 flag stops. Once operational, the trip will take approximately one hour and 39 minutes. He also assured the public that PNR is making every effort to fulfill the President's directive to restore the Laguna to Bicol route as soon as possible.

Miranda further indicated that trial runs are conducted to ensure that the agency can determine if the railway, including the train, is safe and in good condition before the Naga to Lupi route becomes operational this coming October.
