NHCP Highlights Bulacan’s Role as a Historical Contributor

Bulacan: For many years, Bulacan has not only observed history but has also significantly contributed to writing it. This was emphasized by National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) Chairman Dr. Regalado Trota Jose, whose message was delivered by Executive Director Carminda R. Arevalo during the 447th Founding Anniversary of the Province of Bulacan. The event took place at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center.

According to Philippines News Agency, the NHCP executive acknowledged the invaluable contributions of Bulakenyos in shaping both history and the future of the nation. Arevalo highlighted the high standards set by previous generations and praised the Provincial Government of Bulacan for meeting these challenges with enthusiasm.

Governor Daniel R. Fernando also spoke at the event, emphasizing the importance of history as a guide for both present and future generations. He urged the community to continue commemorating the founding anniversary of the Province of Bulacan, ensuring that the sacrifices of their ancestors are remembered and honored.

Following the program, Governor Fernando, Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro, and other local officials participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony and blessing of the Bulacan Capitol Hostel located next to The Pavilion.

The anniversary commemoration also marked the beginning of the Singkaban Festival 2025, celebrating Bulacan's arts and culture under the theme 'Sining at Kalinangan ng Bulacan, Pamanang Babalik-balikan' (Arts and Culture of Bulacan, a Heritage to be Revisited).
