Manila: Gasoline prices will increase by PHP0.30 per liter on Tuesday morning, but a PHP0.20 per liter rollback is set for kerosene, oil firms announced Monday. Seaoil, PTT Philippines, Jetti Petroleum, and Petron, in separate advisories, said prices of their respective gasoline products will be hiked effective 6 a.m. while Caltex will implement the price increase by 6:01 a.m. Kerosene prices of Seaoil and Petron will, in turn, be reduced at the same time. However, there will be changes in the prices of diesel, the advisories said.
According to Philippines News Agency, this is the second consecutive week of gasoline price hike and a reversal for kerosene and diesel prices. Last week, an oil firm executive said the supply of diesel contributed to the positive outlook for its prices, given the lower-than-expected output increases in November. Last week, gasoline prices rose by PHP0.20 per liter, diesel by PHP0.80 per liter, and kerosene by PHP0.20 per liter.
