Over 30,000 Lalamove Drivers to Receive Government Assistance in Las Pi±as

Las pi±as: More than 30,000 eligible Lalamove partner-drivers are set to receive PHP5,000 each in government assistance during a three-day payout event organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Las Pi±as City.

According to Philippines News Agency, over 6,000 partner-drivers had already received cash assistance under the DSWD's Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program during the start of the distribution Tuesday. The payout activity is being coordinated with the assistance of the local government unit, Philippine National Police, and traffic enforcement groups to ensure the safety and orderly processing of beneficiaries.

"We are grateful to the DSWD for staying true to their 'Walang Maiiwan' directive and making sure this vital government support reaches our partner drivers," Djon Nacario, managing director of Lalamove Philippines, said. "Lalamove has been coordinating closely with DSWD since March. Our priority is to ensure a smooth, orderly, safe, and efficient experience onsite, and to make sure our driver community can access their assistance with ease and confidence," he added.

Lalamove stated that partner-drivers who were unable to attend their assigned schedules may visit the company's help desk, check the official driver app, the company's Facebook page, or DSWD online channels for updated information and further instructions. "Lalamove is continuing to work closely with DSWD regarding the schedule of distribution for partner drivers outside Metro Manila," the company said.
