Davao: Over 5,300 households in the Davao Region have benefited from the KALAHI-CIDSS program, with the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Davao Region (DSWD-11) allocating PHP107.8 million in 2025 for various community-driven projects.

According to Philippines News Agency, the funds were utilized for infrastructure, livelihood support, and capacity-building initiatives across 36 barangays. These projects included the construction of child development centers, health centers, roads, drainage canals, and multipurpose buildings, achieving an average physical accomplishment rate of 75.49 percent.

Additionally, 93 households received specific community-driven interventions aimed at aiding displaced and street families. DSWD-11 also surpassed its targets for the cash-for-work program, providing assistance to 1,123 families.

The initiatives further extended support to college students and graduates, with PHP18.03 million in aid distributed among 1,280 students across three state colleges in the region.
