Davao city: The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 11 (Davao Region) has disbursed more than PHP103.6 million in emergency cash transfers to families affected by recent strong earthquakes, the agency reported Tuesday. The aid supports households in Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao del Norte impacted by the magnitude 7.6 and 6.8 tremors.

According to Philippines News Agency, DSWD-11 data shows Davao Oriental received the largest share with about PHP71.9 million for 12,629 families. Davao de Oro received about PHP27.31 million for 4,781 families, and Davao del Norte received about PHP4.4 million for 763 families.

'Beneficiaries who were unclaimed or unserved during the initial rollout will be scheduled for distribution soon,' the agency stated. It is coordinating with local governments to ensure no affected family is left behind.
