P2.1-M Drug Bust: Three High-Value Targets Arrested in Bataan

Bataan: Central Luzon police announced the arrest of three high-value targets and the seizure of PHP2.1 million worth of illegal drugs during two separate buy-bust operations in Bataan over the weekend.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) reported that the first operation took place on Saturday in Abucay town. During this operation, two suspects were apprehended and 66.5 grams of suspected shabu, valued at PHP452,200, were confiscated.

A subsequent operation in Balanga City on Sunday led to the arrest of another suspect and the seizure of 250 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated value of PHP1,700,000. The suspects, identified as "Alvin," "Izon," and "Aldrin," are currently held at their respective police stations while charges are being prepared.

PRO-3 chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo stated, "Our fight against illegal drugs never sleeps. Day in and day out - even on weekends - our police force in Central Luzon remains steadfast in conducting operations to safeguard our communities from the scourge of illegal drugs."

During his State of the Nation Address in July last year, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reiterated his commitment to a bloodless anti-narcotics drive, emphasizing that extermination is not part of his administration's campaign.
