Bulacan: Police operatives dismantled a major drug distribution operation in Bulacan, seizing PHP3.4 million worth of suspected shabu during a joint anti-illegal drugs operation early Thursday morning. Around 4:45 a.m., elements of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group - Special Operations Unit NCR (PNP-DEG SOU NCR) and the Pandi Municipal Police Station under Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 (Central Luzon) carried out the buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Pandi, Bulacan.
According to Philippines News Agency, the operation resulted in the arrest of four suspects, including two identified high-value targets. Recovered were some 500 grams of suspected shabu, along with marked money and drug paraphernalia. The suspects, believed to be part of a big syndicate supplying illegal drugs in Central Luzon and Metro Manila, are now in the custody of PNP-DEG for proper legal proceedings.
PRO-3 director, Brig. General Ponce Rogelio I. Pe±ones Jr., commended the joint police team for the successful operation. 'This operation shows our enhanced police operations at work. We weakened a drug network in Central Luzon and NCR, proving our commitment to stop the drug trade and protect our communities from its harmful impact,' Pe±ones said in a statement.
The PRO-3 assured the public that intensified anti-drug operations will continue as part of the national campaign to dismantle drug syndicates and protect communities from illegal drugs.
