Antique: The Pag-IBIG Fund has successfully launched the Special Assistance for Financial Emergencies (SAFE) program, aiding 3,250 Antique±os to mitigate the financial impact of the ongoing Middle East crisis.

According to Philippines News Agency, the SAFE program allows qualified members to access a PHP10,000 loan. This loan is repayable over a period of one to three years, with an initial grace period of three months. The funds are promptly credited to the Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus or the Land Bank of the Philippines cash card within three days of application submission.

Pag-IBIG Fund Antique branch manager Donald Alton Cahilo stated in an interview that a total of 3,250 applications have been processed since the program's opening on June 15. The program is set to remain available until September 8. To qualify for the loan, applicants must provide a completed application form and a valid identification card. Government employees must have a net pay of at least PHP5,000 per month.

In addition to the SAFE program, Cahilo reported that Pag-IBIG Fund approved 14 housing loan applications from January to June, amounting to PHP 19.5 million.
