PAGCOR Donates PHP16.20 Million Worth of Patient Transport Vehicles to Eight Luzon LGUs

Pasay City: The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has turned over patient transport vehicles (PTVs) worth PHP16.20 million to eight local government units (LGUs) in Luzon. The donation was made at the PAGCOR Corporate Office, where officials from the recipient LGUs gathered to receive the vehicles.

According to Philippines News Agency, the LGUs benefiting from this donation include Rosario and Cuenca in Batangas; San Mateo in Isabela; Pola in Oriental Mindoro; and Dumaran, Brooke's Point, Magsaysay, and Coron in Palawan. Each of these LGUs will now have enhanced capabilities to respond to medical emergencies, thanks to the new vehicles.

Each patient transport vehicle is equipped with essential emergency medical features such as a GPS navigation system, ambulance stretcher, oxygen supply, wheelchair, and first aid kit. These features aim to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of medical response in areas that have limited access to hospitals and specialized care.

PAGCOR Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer Alejandro Tengco emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating that the donation is part of PAGCOR's commitment to assist LGUs in building more responsive and resilient healthcare systems. He highlighted that through these vehicles, they aim to ensure that residents in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas can receive timely medical care.
