Over PHP131-M Illegal Drugs Seized in Central Luzon Over Five Months

Central Luzon: Police in Central Luzon have seized PHP131.4 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested over 4,000 suspects in five months, according to the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3).

According to Philippines News Agency, the seizure and arrests were the results of 2,706 anti-drug operations carried out from January 10 to June 8 across the region. The confiscated illegal narcotics included 19,032.93 grams of shabu, 15,409.96 grams of marijuana, and 151.59 grams of kush, the PRO-3 reported.

"These figures represent more than just successful enforcement - they reflect the unwavering commitment and sacrifice of our personnel in shielding communities from the dangers of illegal drugs," stated PRO-3 chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo. Fajardo emphasized that the intensified anti-drug campaign is part of the broader national directive from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to intensify efforts against crime and ensure the safety of all Filipinos.
