PAL Launches New Manila-Cauayan Flight Route

Manila: Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) launched services between Cauayan, Isabela and Manila on Wednesday. An 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft took off from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 at 1:25 p.m., and was expected to arrive at Cauayan Airport at 2:30 p.m.

According to Philippines News Agency, PAL Express president Rabbi Vincent Ang expressed enthusiasm about the new route's potential to contribute to economic progress in Northern Luzon. He emphasized the airline's commitment to collaborating with local government and community stakeholders to foster tourism, business growth, and enhanced connectivity for Filipinos.

Cauayan City Mayor Caesar Dy Jr. attended the send-off ceremony and highlighted the anticipated economic benefits the new route would bring to the city and province. He noted that the daily flight services offer a viable alternative to the over 10-hour land travel, promoting Cauayan as the gateway to Isabela.

The return flights from Cauayan are scheduled daily at 3:25 p.m., arriving in Manila at 4:40 p.m.
