Manila: Malaca±ang has declared special non-working days in 13 areas nationwide to allow residents to celebrate local festivals, founding anniversaries, town fiestas, and other significant events, including a special election in Cavite. Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, by authority of the President, signed Proclamation Nos. 1368 to 1372 on July 29 and 1373 to 1380 on July 30, officially announcing the local holidays across different parts of the country.

According to Philippines News Agency, Proclamation No. 1368 declares August 17 a special non-working day in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, in lieu of August 16. This change follows a request from the Office of the Mayor to allow residents to celebrate the Pavvurulun Afi Festival after this year's observance falls on a Sunday.

Under Proclamation No. 1369, August 29 has been proclaimed a special non-working day in the Fourth Legislative District of Cavite, comprising Dasmari±as City. This aims to enable residents to properly exercise their right to vote in the special election for the district's representative to the House of Representatives.

Proclamation No. 1370 designates August 1 as a special non-working day in Compostela, Davao de Oro, to commemorate the municipality's 78th founding anniversary. Meanwhile, in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, August 7 has been declared a special non-working day through Proclamation No. 1371 to celebrate its town fiesta.

A similar holiday has been proclaimed in Davao City on August 14 under Proclamation No. 1372, in observance of the annual celebration of the Kadayawan Festival and Indigenous Peoples Day, celebrated every third week of August.

Proclamation No. 1373 declares a special non-working day in Candoni, Negros Occidental, on August 12 to celebrate the municipality's 65th founding anniversary. In Magpet, Cotabato, August 13 has been declared a special non-working day through Proclamation No. 1374 to commemorate its 63rd founding anniversary.

Proclamation Nos. 1375 and 1376 declare local holidays in Mawab, Davao de Oro, on August 14 and in Bulacan province on August 15 to celebrate their founding anniversaries. The Palace also declared August 15 a special non-working day in Viga, Catanduanes, through Proclamation No. 1377 in observance of the Araw ng Viga.

Under Proclamation No. 1378, August 18 is declared a special non-working day in Kidapawan, Cotabato, in commemoration of the city's 79th founding anniversary. Proclamation No. 1379 also declares August 19 a special non-working day in Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya, for the celebration of the Citrus Festival.

In Angono, Rizal, August 19 has been proclaimed a special non-working day through Proclamation No. 1380 to commemorate the signing of its independence as a municipality from Binangonan, Rizal.
