Manila: Malaca±ang on Tuesday dismissed reports of a supposed landing gear problem involving the airplane used by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos. Palace Press Officer Claire Castro stated that the claim was not true, clarifying that there was no such incident during the First Lady's recent trip.

According to Philippines News Agency, Castro addressed the issue when asked about reports suggesting that the aircraft carrying the First Lady from Iloilo experienced a landing gear problem. She emphasized that the information was false and that no such incident occurred.

Castro did not provide further details but stressed that there were no safety concerns related to the flight of Araneta-Marcos. Malaca±ang has yet to release additional information on the First Lady's travel.

The First Lady was in Cebu over the weekend to attend events related to the Philippines' hosting of the 2026 Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit and Related Summits.
