Palarong Pambansa Delegates Offered Complimentary Tours in Ilocos Norte

Ilocos Norte: The Ilocos Norte government is providing delegates of the 65th Palarong Pambansa with the opportunity to explore the province's well-known attractions at no cost.

According to Philippines News Agency, Edison Justine Deus, the officer-in-charge of the provincial government's Communications and Media Office, announced on Tuesday that the free tours are available on a first come, first served basis. From May 28 to 30, vehicles will be stationed in front of the provincial capitol at 8:30 a.m., ready to transport passengers to various eco-tourism parks and scenic landscapes across Ilocos Norte as soon as they are full.

The tour program includes two buses and three coasters. The provincial tourism office has arranged two itineraries for visitors to choose from. For those heading north, the itinerary includes stops at Cape Bojeador Military Camp, Lighthouse, and Kapurpurawan Rock Formation in Burgos, the 18 Degrees North camping site and the windmills in Bangui Bay, and Saud Beach in Pagudpud.

Southbound passengers will visit locations such as Malaca±ang of the North, the sand dunes and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Saint Augustine Church in Paoay, and the Ilocos Norte Waterpark at La Virgen Milagrosa Cove in Badoc. While participants are responsible for their meals and other expenses during the tour, entrance fees for facilities owned by the provincial government are waived.

The provincial government aims to encourage more visitors to explore and experience the region's attractions, particularly during significant events like the Palarong Pambansa, hosted by Ilocos Norte this year.
