KUALA LUMPUR, National wheelchair tennis player, Abu Samah Borhan is set to compete in his third Paralympic Games at Paris 2024, slated to be held from Aug 28 until Sept 8. This announcement follows confirmation from the International Tennis Federation (ITF) on Monday that Wheelchair Tennis Malaysia (WTM) successfully secured a bipartite application for Abu Samah, allowing him to feature in both men's singles and doubles categories in Paris. According to a statement by WTM, the 2017 ASEAN Para Games champion was pleased to be able to compete in his third successive Paralympic Games after Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. The 39-year-old also took the opportunity to extend his gratitude to Wheelchair Tennis Malaysia, National Sports Council, ITF and International Paralympic Committee for their support to play in the world's prestigious multi-sports games. In a similar statement, WTM president Muhd Iqbal Sulaiman said Abu Samah and Mohammad Yusshazwan Yusuf, who qualified on merit for Paris 2024, will have a traini ng stint with the French team from Aug 25 until 27 as part of their final preparation before the Games begins.
