PBBM and Carney Highlight Jollibee During Vancouver Visit

Vancouver: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday (Canada time) visited a Jollibee branch here, giving the famous Filipino fast-food chain a moment in the international spotlight. Marcos and Carney made a brief stop at Jollibee on 833 Granville Street in downtown Vancouver following their official engagements at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

According to Philippines News Agency, the two leaders made an order, posed with the Jollibee mascot, and interacted with staff and customers. The Jollibee branch, which opened in March 2022, is the first store in Vancouver and the 23rd in Canada. Jollibee has become a familiar destination for Filipinos living and working abroad.

The stop highlights Jollibee's growing global presence and its enduring appeal not just among Filipinos overseas but also among foreign nationals. Marcos and Carney's visit also showcased a familiar taste of home for the Filipino community in Canada.
