PBBM’s Birthday Wish: Successful Gov’t Initiatives, Completed Projects

Manila: For his birthday on Sept. 13, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed hopes for the continued success of government programs and the timely completion of vital projects across the country.

According to Philippines News Agency, Marcos, who will turn 68, hoped that the government would make great strides in advancing key projects and initiatives that would benefit the Filipino people. He expressed optimism that ongoing programs, even if not completed within his term, would be continued and sustained by his successor to ensure lasting progress for the country.

Matapos namin lahat ng aming ginagawa (My intention is actually quite simple, especially for this administration - to finish everything we are doing),' Marcos said on the fourth episode of his podcast aired Tuesday, when asked about his birthday wish. Maganda ang takbo ng ekonomiya (Of course, many things really can't be completed within six years, so hopefully they will at least get started so that the next administration can continue them, because it would be a waste otherwise. The results are good. The economy is good),' he added.

Marcos also touted the positive state of the Philippine economy, as well as the growing international respect for the Philippines and its people. He described the global recognition of Filipinos' exceptional skills as 'heartwarming.' The economy is doing well. Our friends around the world hold us in high regard. Their respect for the Philippines is strong-and even stronger for Filipinos themselves. Wherever I go, the first thing people tell me is how talented Filipinos are),' he said.
