Manila: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Thursday reported that it has monitored a total of 194,842 outbound passengers at various ports across the nation on Christmas Eve. This effort is part of the PCG's initiative, "Oplan Byaheng Ayos: Pasko 2025," aimed at ensuring smooth travel during the festive season.

According to Philippines News Agency, the PCG also recorded a total of 194,456 inbound passengers at ports nationwide on the same day. In addition, 16 PCG districts conducted inspections on 1,514 vessels and 1,949 motorbancas, ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols.

The PCG has heightened alertness across its districts, stations, and substations from December 20, 2025, to January 4, 2026, to efficiently manage the increased number of passengers during this busy holiday period.
