PDEA Apprehends High-Value Target, Confiscates P1.36M Shabu in Albay

Guinobatan: Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents in Bicol have successfully arrested a high-value suspect and seized over PHP1.36 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Guinobatan, Albay, on Saturday morning. The operation marks a significant achievement in the region's ongoing anti-drug campaign.

According to Philippines News Agency, the suspect is a 27-year-old unemployed individual from Taguig City and has been identified as a high-value target by the authorities. The operation was executed at 9 a.m., resulting in the recovery of approximately 200 grams of suspected shabu. The illegal substance was found packed in two knot-tied transparent plastic sachets.

In addition to the drugs, the authorities also confiscated several non-drug items. These included one genuine PHP1,000 bill with a recorded serial number, which was used as buy-bust money, along with several PHP1,000 bill replicas wrapped in cling plastic. An Android mobile phone, a pink paper bag, a black plastic container, and a white plastic container were also seized during the operation.

The suspect is currently being held in PDEA custody and is set to face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
