Manila: The Philippines is set to send four formidable teams to the Esports World Cup, which will take place from July 10 to August 20 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Filipino teams will compete in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang category, aiming to bring home prestigious titles.
According to Philippines News Agency, the MPL Philippines Season 15 champion Team Liquid PH (TLPH) and runner-up Onic PH are preparing to reclaim the Mid-Season Cup (MSC), while Natus Vincere PH and TLPH are focused on defending their title in the MLBB Women's Invitational (MWI). Lee Viloria, Moonton head of Business Development and Partnerships for Philippine Esports, expressed the teams' determination at the Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum held at the Philippine Sports Commission conference hall.
TLPH and Onic PH will face 14 other teams, including strong contenders from Indonesia and Malaysia, to reclaim the MSC title that the Philippines last won in 2022. Onic PH's top player, Duane 'Kelra' Pillas, emphasized their commitment to winning the championship, stating their intention to ensure a Filipino team triumphs at the EWC.

The Navi PH team, led by Gwyeth 'Ayanami' Diagon, and TLPH, captained by Trinity 'Ramici' Ramos, are hopeful for consecutive victories after defeating Team Vitality of Indonesia last year. The MSC event offers a total prize pool of USD3 million, scheduled from July 10 to August 2, while the MWI, with a USD500,000 prize, is set for July 15 to 20.
