Manila: The Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) has released more than PHP274.45 billion in benefit payments nationwide from January to November 2025, reflecting a 79.58 percent increase compared to the same period last year. In a public advisory Wednesday, the state insurer said the figure is based on the agency's reports of checks issued and advice.
According to Philippines News Agency, the benefit disbursements to private health facilities reached PHP161 billion, while government hospitals received PHP113.45 billion. In 2024, PhilHealth paid a total of PHP152.83 billion in claims over the same period, with PHP84.41 billion going to private facilities and PHP68.42 billion to government hospitals.
