Manila: Defending champion PLDT spoiled Creamline's bid to return to the Finals with a stunning 25-17, 23-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-12 victory Sunday night at Smart Araneta Coliseum. The intense match kept fans on the edge of their seats as PLDT managed to clinch the win in a decisive fifth set.

According to Philippines News Agency, the victory also sent Nxled to the championship round against Thailand's EST Cola. EST Cola secured their first Finals berth after defeating Ho Chi Minh with scores of 25-19, 26-24, 26-24, finishing atop the standings at 4-1.

PLDT, Creamline, and Nxled all concluded their games with a 3-2 record. However, the Chameleons advanced to the Finals with 10 FIVB tiebreak points, surpassing Creamline, which finished third with nine points, and PLDT, which was fourth with eight points.

The upcoming one-game championship will see EST Cola and Nxled face off at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Araneta Coliseum. Meanwhile, PLDT and Creamline will battle for third place at 4 p.m., while Farm Fresh and Ho Chi Minh will compete for fifth place at 1:30 p.m.

Savi Davison led the High Speed Hitters with a career-high 37 points, along with 18 excellent digs and 24 receptions. Jovie Prado was named the Best Player of the Game after achieving a triple-double with 14 points, 11 digs, and 14 receptions. Prado expressed joy over the hard-fought victory, acknowledging Creamline's formidable reputation.

In additional contributions for PLDT, Kim Dy scored 14 points, Mika Reyes added 11, and Majoy Baron contributed eight. On the opposing side, Alyja Minowa led the Cool Smashers with 25 points, including 15 attacks, nine blocks, and one ace. Jema Galanza and Michele Gumabao added 20 and 11 points, respectively, while Alyssa Valdez and Bea de Leon chipped in seven points each.
