Manila: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) is anticipated to last one hour and 20 minutes, according to Malaca±ang. The estimated duration is based on a rehearsal conducted by the President on Sunday night, as stated by Palace Press Officer Claire Castro.

According to Philippines News Agency, Marcos had a final run-through of his annual address on the eve of his SONA. Castro emphasized that the President is concentrating on his message to the public rather than his attire for the event. She mentioned that discussions about the President's clothing have not been prioritized, as the main focus is on the content of his address.

The President's fourth SONA, which took place at the Batasang Pambansa Complex on July 28, 2025, lasted one hour and 11 minutes. During last year's address, the President highlighted his administration's achievements, outlined future plans, and issued stern warnings against those involved in irregular flood control projects.

In his fifth SONA, Marcos is expected to update the nation on the ongoing investigation into alleged ghost and substandard flood control projects, as well as the status of individuals implicated in these controversies. Speaking to reporters in Mabalacat City, Pampanga, Marcos mentioned that his SONA would remain open to changes until the day of delivery. He also noted that the SONA would cover the 'effective' measures implemented by the government to mitigate the impact of global uncertainties on the country.
