PRO-11 Seizes PHP1.7 Million in Illegal Drugs During Weeklong Operations

Davao City: The Police Regional Office-Davao Region (PRO-11) has seized illegal drugs valued at approximately PHP1.7 million over the course of a weeklong operation, according to officials' statements on Wednesday. The operations, conducted from January 13 to January 19, encompassed buy-busts, the service of search and arrest warrants, checkpoints, and police responses.

According to Philippines News Agency, Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete, the PRO-11 regional director, highlighted that the operations are a testament to the dedication of 'Pulis Dabawenyos' in their ongoing mission to eradicate illegal drug activities and hold offenders accountable. Rosete emphasized the agency's commitment to protecting communities from the detrimental impact of illegal drugs.

During the operations, authorities seized 249.4 grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of PHP1.69 million, and 66.1 grams of dried marijuana leaves, valued at PHP7,938. The crackdown also resulted in the arrest of 57 individuals involved in drug activities, including 14 identified as high-value targets and 43 street-level peddlers, as stated by Rosete.
