Malaca±ang: On Friday, the Kalayaan grounds were opened to the public for the 'Salo-Salo sa Palasyo' event, celebrating President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s 68th birthday, which falls on Saturday.

According to Philippines News Agency, President Marcos, joined by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, engaged with attendees by mingling with the crowd and listening to the birthday song. The First Couple also took the opportunity to interact with children at the event while riding a golf cart.

President Marcos expressed his thanks to the citizens who came to celebrate his birthday with him and his family. The event featured the 'Handog ng Pangulo: Salo Sa Palasyo,' hosted by the Office of the President in 2024, which offered food stalls for the public.
