Seoul: Korean Air has unveiled a new feature in its mobile application that provides real-time updates of Incheon International Airport operations. This addition aims to enhance passenger convenience by offering critical airport information directly within the app.

According to Philippines News Agency, this feature is powered by Incheon International Airport Corporation's public Open API (application programming interface). Passengers can now monitor real-time congestion levels at check-in counters, security, and immigration checkpoints. The app also allows users to check estimated travel times from their airport arrival to the boarding gate.

Moreover, the feature provides real-time parking availability at both long- and short-term parking facilities, categorized by floor. Passengers can also locate Korean Air lounges and view their real-time occupancy levels to facilitate a more relaxed pre-flight experience.

Uniquely, Korean Air passengers can use the app to share their estimated arrival time and exit door information via SMS or messaging apps. "The Incheon Airport Guide feature enhances passenger convenience by bringing tailored airport information directly into our mobile app," Korean Air stated in a recent announcement. Furthermore, South Korea's flag carrier emphasized its commitment to continually developing digital solutions that create smoother and more efficient travel experiences.
