The city government assured continuing case monitoring and disease surveillance to closely track the situation and identify any possible clustering of infections. It also urged residents to continue practicing health and safety measures to help reduce the spread of respiratory illnesses. These include covering the mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing; regular washing of hands with soap and water or using an alcohol-based sanitizer; wearing a face mask when experiencing Covid-19 or other respiratory symptoms; avoiding touching the face with unclean hands; maintaining safe social distance from others when sick; and staying home while recovering.

"Patuloy na hinihikayat ang publiko na sundin ang mga pangunahing hakbang upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng Covid-19 (The public is continuously encouraged to follow the basic steps to prevent the spread of Covid-19),' the QCESD said. The QC government advised parents to have children with respiratory symptoms checked at the nearest health center, while older adults and people with weakened immune systems are encouraged to seek medical consultation as soon as symptoms appear to reduce the risk of complications.

Residents were likewise encouraged to self-report through the QCESD hotlines 8988-4242 loc 1609, 8703-2759, and 09622747107.
