Manila: Several areas in Northern Luzon will continue to experience rains on Thursday, the weather bureau said. The shearline affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon will bring scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Norte, and Cagayan Valley. Moderate to heavy rains are forecast in Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, and Kalinga. Flash floods or landslides are possible in these areas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said. According to Philippines News Agency, the northeast monsoon affecting extreme Northern Luzon will cause light rains across Batanes. The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Northern Luzon will continue to experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
Rains Persist in Northern Luzon Due to Shearline.
