Rainy Weekend in Pangasinan Due to Paolo – PAGASA

Pangasinan: A Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) official has advised Pangasinenses to expect rainy days ahead as Tropical Storm Paolo (international name Matmo) approaches.

According to Philippines News Agency, citing Weather Advisory No. 4 as of 11 a.m. on Thursday, PAGASA Dagupan chief Jose Estrada Jr. said in a phone interview that the province is forecasted to experience an accumulated 100 to 200 millimeters of rainwater 'from today to noon tomorrow (Friday).'

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 was raised in the province as of 5 a.m. "We will experience the effect of 'Paolo' starting tomorrow, and rainfall will prevail until the weekend, even as it exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility, since it will enhance the southwest monsoon," he said.

Estrada urged the residents to prepare for its possible effects, especially those in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
