Manila: Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla has expressed confidence that authorities will eventually apprehend fugitives former lawmaker Zaldy Co, businessman Charlie "Atong" Ang, and former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque. Remulla shared his optimism during the Kapihan ng Samahang Plaridel forum, stating that efforts to capture Co are intensifying despite the challenges faced.

According to Philippines News Agency, Co is wanted for graft and malversation in connection with an allegedly anomalous PHP289.5-million flood control project in Oriental Mindoro. He is believed to be residing in a 10-bedroom house along the Champs-€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬°lys©es in Paris. The Philippine government has requested an Interpol Red Notice against Co and maintains communication with the police organization for updates. Remulla expressed optimism about securing the Red Notice and bringing Co back to the Philippines.

Remulla also addressed the status of Roque, who is facing human trafficking allegations linked to the scam hub Lucky South 99 in Porac, Pampanga. Roque is reportedly in Austria seeking asylum after his passport was cancelled last November. Remulla mentioned that if Roque's asylum application is rejected, he could be expelled due to the lack of travel documents.

Regarding Ang, Remulla stated that authorities tracked him to a location in Cavite last month but were unable to apprehend him before he allegedly fled. He is believed to still be in the Philippines, specifically in the Calabarzon area. Ang faces non-bailable kidnapping and serious illegal detention charges related to the disappearance of 34 cockfighting enthusiasts. Twenty of his co-accused are in government custody, and authorities have offered a PHP20-million reward for information leading to Ang's arrest.
