SC Collaborates with Law Enforcement to Address Online Threats Against Pasig RTC Judges

Pasig: The Supreme Court (SC) is working with law enforcement agencies to investigate the online threats against judges of the Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC).

According to Philippines News Agency, the SC confirmed that the judges of the Pasig RTC received online threats sent via email earlier in the day. The Court is taking this matter seriously and is closely monitoring the situation. An investigation is underway, in coordination with law enforcement authorities. Appropriate security measures have also been put in place to ensure the safety and protection of the judges, court personnel, court users, and the general public, SC spokesperson Camille Ting said.

She assured that the Judiciary remains committed to upholding judicial independence. Judges will continue to carry out their duties with integrity and calm resolve, guided by fairness and the rule of law, she added.

Among the cases pending before the Pasig RTC are those filed against former Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo and Kingdom of Jesus Christ pastor Apollo Quiboloy. The SC urged the public and all concerned stakeholders to remain vigilant and continue supporting the judicial process with trust and respect.
