Davao city: Minimum wage earners in the Davao Region are set to benefit from the implementation of the second tranche of the wage increase approved by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Commission (RTWPC) Region 11. This adjustment takes effect starting Tuesday.
According to Philippines News Agency, the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NPWC), operating under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), announced that workers in the non-agricultural sector will now receive the complete PHP30 wage adjustment. This change elevates their daily wages to PHP540. The initial tranche, which was a PHP15 increase, began on February 25.
Conversely, agricultural sector workers will experience a PHP10 salary increase as part of the second tranche, bringing their total pay hike to PHP20. This adjustment raises their new daily wage to PHP525, effective Tuesday.
The wage increase applies to workers in the cities of Davao, Digos, Island Garden of Samal, Mati, Panabo, and Tagum, as well as in the provinces of Compostela Valley, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, and Davao del Sur, as specified by Wage Order No. RB XI-24, issued on February 19, 2026.
Meanwhile, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board for the Caraga region (RTWPB-13) is set to conduct a series of public consultations over two months starting this month. These consultations aim to determine the minimum wage for private sector workers and domestic workers in the region.
