Sorsogon Provides School Supplies to 15K Learners

Sorsogon: About 15,205 Kindergarten to Grade 6 students received free school supplies through the 'Gamit Mo, Sagot Ko' program of the Sorsogon provincial government's 7K Kadununga (wisdom) program.

According to Philippines News Agency, the beneficiaries are from Donsol, 4,392; Casiguran, 5,565; Barcelona, 2,420; and Matnog, 2,828, as noted by Arthur Balmadrid, Kadunungan project manager, as quoted by the Sorsogon Provincial Information Office. Students received various items, including new uniforms, bags, notebooks, ballpoint pens, umbrellas, and caps.

Balmadrid mentioned that this is the third time supplies have been distributed since the 7K program's inception. The initiative aims to strengthen the education system and enhance the dignity of students, particularly those attending public schools.

Annie Lajota, a mother of four, expressed gratitude towards the provincial government, stating that the program is a significant help as it alleviates daily expenses by providing necessary school supplies.

In addition to the school supplies, the provincial government distributed bread as part of its "Pan sa Paaralan" program. Rafael Sena, principal of Donsol West Central School, remarked that the program supports student nutrition and contributes positively to their learning experiences.
