Nantes: One student was killed and three others were injured Thursday in a stabbing attack at a French high school, according to media reports. A 15-year-old high school student in the western French city of Nantes stabbed four students, one of whom died from her injuries, according to public broadcaster BFM TV.
According to Philippines News Agency, a knife attack took place at a private school in Nantes. Education Minister Elisabeth Borne wrote on X about the incident, highlighting the severity of the situation. Two of the three students who were injured are reported to be in critical condition.
The attacker was restrained and arrested by police, ensuring no further harm was done. Borne mentioned that she was on her way to the scene along with Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau to express solidarity with the victims and to support the educational community.
