Manila: Three weather systems are forecast to bring rains over several parts of the country, the weather bureau said Saturday. In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported the expected weather conditions.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is set to cause scattered rains and thunderstorms across the Zamboanga Peninsula and Palawan. Meanwhile, regions such as Bicol, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, and Davao Oriental will experience similar conditions due to the influence of the easterlies.
Additionally, Batanes and the Babuyan Islands are anticipated to receive rains as a result of the northeast monsoon, while the rest of Mindanao is expected to see isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.
Metro Manila and other parts of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also influenced by the easterlies.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas are predicted over extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Luzon and the Visayas. In contrast, the rest of the country is expected to experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate sea conditions.
