Manila: Most areas in the country will experience rains on Monday due to three prevailing weather systems. The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will likewise cause scattered rains and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has warned that moderate to heavy rains in these areas could result in flash floods or landslides. Isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon will prevail over the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon, while isolated rain showers will affect the rest of the country due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms. Strong winds a nd rough seas are forecast in Northern and Central Luzon. The eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters. Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail over the rest of the archipelago. Meanwhile, PAGASA reported that no tropical cyclone was monitored for possible formation.
