Twelve Bettors Win Big in Philippine Lotto Draws, Becoming Instant Multimillionaires

Manila: Twelve bettors became new multimillionaires after hitting the jackpot in Ultra Lotto 6/58, Super Lotto 6/49, and Lotto 6/42 draws on Tuesday night.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced in an advisory on Wednesday that 10 bettors successfully matched the Ultra Lotto 6/58 winning combination of 01-58-25-43-26-16. The total prize amounted to PHP76,305,973.15, which was evenly divided among the winners, granting each PHP7,630,597.31.

PCSO revealed that the winning tickets were purchased in various locations, including Tuguegarao City in Cagayan, Dasmari±as and Tanza in Cavite, Guiuan in Eastern Samar, Concepcion in Tarlac, Marikina City, Makati City, Ormoc City in Leyte, and San Carlos City in Negros Occidental. Additionally, one of the winning outlets was situated inside a mall in Cebu City. Besides the jackpot winners, ten bettors each won PHP150,000 for matching five numbers, 367 players received PHP3,814.71 for four matches, and 9,909 participants won PHP100 for three matches. Ultra Lotto 6/58 draws occur every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.

In another significant win, a lone bettor claimed the Super Lotto 6/49 jackpot worth PHP40,607,323.57 by selecting the combination 44-03-08-31-06-49. The ticket was sold in Mabalacat City, Pampanga. Two individuals won PHP650,000 each for guessing five out of the six winning digits, 554 players received PHP2,166.06 each for four correct numbers, and 12,819 participants received PHP50 each for three correct numbers. The Super Lotto 6/49 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Moreover, a solo winner secured the PHP10 million jackpot prize for Lotto 6/42 after accurately guessing the numbers 31-28-19-03-02-04. The winning ticket was purchased in Calamba City, Laguna. According to the PCSO, 27 others won PHP40,740.74 each for guessing five out of the six winning digits, 1,514 players received PHP660.50 each for four correct numbers, and 21,502 participants received PHP20 each for three correct numbers. The 6/42 Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Under Republic Act 1169, winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prizes. All jackpot prizes must be claimed at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City. Winners are required to write their names and signatures at the back of the winning ticket and present two valid government-issued identification. Lotto prizes exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law.

PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles encouraged the public to support the agency's gaming products to raise additional revenues for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities. Through its mandatory contributions, the PCSO not only assists individuals in need of medical aid but also provides funds to government institutions.
