Manila: The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday welcomed the results of the latest OCTA Research survey, saying the findings will further motivate the organization to strengthen its commitment to public service. The latest Tugon ng Masa survey showed the PNP with a 63 percent trust rating and a 61 percent satisfaction rating for the first half of 2026.

According to Philippines News Agency, PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. stated that the survey serves as both recognition of the police force's efforts and a reminder to continue improving service delivery. "Nagpapasalamat ang PNP sa patuloy na tiwala at kumpiyansa ng mamamayang Pilipino. Ang nasabing resulta ay sumasalamin sa pagsisikap ng kapulisan na mapanatili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan, maipatupad ang batas, at maprotektahan ang mga komunidad (The PNP is grateful for the continued trust and confidence of the Filipino people. The [survey] results reflect the efforts of the police force to maintain peace and order, enforce the law, and protect communities)," he said in a statement Wednesday.

He added that the PNP will continue to promote safer cities and communities through strengthened police visibility and faster response to incidents. He also emphasized the organization's commitment to humane and prompt law enforcement, along with intensified efforts to curb criminality and strengthen partnerships with local governments and communities.

The OCTA survey was conducted from March 19 to 25 through face-to-face interviews of 1,200 probability respondents aged 18 and above, both male and female.
