Bacolod: Two individuals yielded PHP1.836 million in shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mansilingan here Monday night. In a report on Tuesday, the Bacolod City Police Office City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) identified the suspects as alias "Toto," 40, and his companion, alias "Totong," 48, both residents of Purok Manayawsayaw in the same village.

According to Philippines News Agency, Toto sold a sachet of shabu worth PHP1,000 to an undercover policeman at around 8:40 p.m. Operatives also seized three knot-tied and six heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 270 grams of shabu pegged at PHP6,800 per gram from the suspect.

Both suspects are detained at Police Station 7. Charges are being readied against Toto for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, particularly Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs); and violation of Section 26 (attempt or conspiracy) for Totong.
