Arellano, on the other hand, relied on Cassey Florida to pull off a 25-20, 25-22, 25-15 victory over reigning National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) champion Letran.
Meanwhile, San Beda and University of Perpetual Help try to enter the win column at 5 p.m. The Perpetual Altas lost to the Adamson University Lady Falcons, 21-25, 18-25, 22-25, also on August 16.
In the men's division, reigning University Athletic Association of the Philippines champion National University eyes a third win against Letran at noon. NCAA holder College of Saint Benilde and Mapua collide in a rematch of the NCAA Season 101 Finals at 10 a.m.
