Manila: The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPBs) in Mimaropa (Region 4-B) and the Zamboanga Peninsula (Region 9) have approved minimum wage increases for both workers and "kasambahay" (domestic helpers), set to take effect in 2026.

According to Philippines News Agency, private sector and domestic workers in Mimaropa will see salary adjustments following the RTWPB 4-B's approval of Wage Orders RB-Mimaropa-13 and RB-Mimaropa-DW-06. Wage Order RB-Mimaropa-13 stipulates pay hikes of PHP25 for establishments with 10 workers or more and PHP51 for establishments with fewer than 10 workers. This adjustment will standardize the daily minimum wage rate for private sector workers to PHP455, up from the current PHP430 for larger establishments and PHP404 for smaller ones.

Additionally, under Wage Order RB-Mimaropa-DW-06-1, the monthly minimum wage for house helpers in the region will increase by PHP500, raising it to PHP7,000.

In the Zamboanga Peninsula, the RTWPB has issued Wage Order No. RIX-24, which mandates a PHP50 increase in the minimum wage for earners, to be distributed in two phases starting in early 2026. The adjusted rates will see non-agricultural establishments, including retail and service businesses with 10 or more workers, paying a minimum of PHP439, while agricultural establishments, including those with 1-9 workers, will pay PHP426 from January 1 in the first tranche.

The second tranche, effective June 1, 2026, will further increase the minimum wage to PHP464 for non-agricultural establishments and PHP451 for agricultural ones.
