Worldbex Aims for PHP150 Million Revenue from Iloilo Expo

Iloilo city: Worldbex Services International (WSI) is set to generate at least PHP150 million from its Iloilo Trio Events 2026, scheduled to take place at the Iloilo Convention Center from July 9 to 12. The event will see the participation of over 400 local and international exhibitors.

According to Philippines News Agency, WSI Marketing and Communications Manager Leo Salonga highlighted that the event will feature three major expositions: the Philippine Building and Construction Exposition (PHILBEX), the Travel and Leisure Expo (TLEX), and the Manila Foods and Beverages Expo (MAFBEX). These expos aim to serve as a platform for the business, tourism, and culinary industries in Western Visayas.

WSI has collaborated with the Philippine Institute of Interior Design to offer design seminars for construction professionals. Salonga noted that around 20 exhibitors from China, Japan, and South Korea will present products and services related to construction, architecture, and software.

Since its inception in Iloilo four years ago, the event has attracted more than 15,000 visitors annually. Organizers are aiming for approximately 20,000 visitors this year. While exhibitors generally do not disclose their sales figures, Salonga mentioned that the event's total economic impact is estimated to be between PHP150 million and PHP200 million.

Ma. Victoria Lara, director of Iloilo City's Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) office, remarked that the event provides local businesses with opportunities to forge partnerships and compare themselves with international brands. "Worldbex provides them the network. If not in Iloilo, they can join other expos and the like," she stated.

Additional activities will include an interschool tour guiding competition, food and beverage contests, table-setting, and cake decorating competitions, among others.
