Jolo: The Army's 11th Infantry Division (11ID) has advanced five lieutenants to the rank of captain in recognition of their commendable service, an official announced on Monday. Promoted to the rank of captain are 1st Lieutenants Darwin Andaya, Bryan Jay Esteban, Carlo Narag, Maylan Palattao, and Jonathan Sape.
According to Philippines News Agency, the promotion ceremony was led by Maj. Gen. Leonardo Pe±a, the 11ID commander, at Camp General Teodulfo Bautista, the headquarters of the 11ID in Jolo, Sulu. During the ceremony, Pe±a praised the officers for their professionalism, perseverance, and exemplary performance.
In his address, Pe±a emphasized that a promotion is not merely an acknowledgment of past achievements but also a commitment to lead with integrity, serve with dedication, and inspire subordinates. He highlighted the importance of dedicating efforts to God and expressing gratitude, recognizing Him as the ultimate orchestrator of their lives.
Pe±a further asserted that the 11ID remains steadfast in its commitment to developing competent leaders and enhancing its ranks, as it continues its mission to maintain peace, security, and development within its jurisdiction.
