2 Davao Region Governors Ranked Among Mindanao’s Top Performers

Davao City: Two Davao Region governors were ranked among the top performers in Mindanao in a recent survey. Governors Ni±o Uy of Davao Oriental and Franklin Bautista of Davao Occidental ranked sixth and eighth, respectively, in the survey conducted by the Institute for Global Education Exchange and Internship (IGEEI).

According to Philippines News Agency, Uy received an 80 percent satisfaction rating for his environmental and disaster resilience efforts, as reported by the Davao Oriental provincial government on Tuesday. 'The people of Davao Oriental are blessed to have a leader like Uy,' the provincial government stated, highlighting the governor's impact on the region.

Bautista, on the other hand, received a 78 percent satisfaction rating, with strong support from young people. The survey results underscore Bautista's appeal among the younger demographic in his province.

The survey did not include governors from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, as noted by IGEEI. The governors who ranked above Uy and Bautista were Ann Hofer of Zamboanga Sibugay with an 87 percent satisfaction rating, Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu of Sultan Kudarat with 86 percent, Peter Unabia of Misamis Oriental with 84 percent, and Henry Oaminal of Misamis Occidental with 83 percent.

The survey, conducted from January 13 to 24, gathered responses from 10,000 people aged 18 to 35 across Mindanao, providing a comprehensive overview of the satisfaction levels with regional governance.
