Laguna: Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents arrested two high-value individuals and seized more than PHP3.4 million worth of shabu in a sting operation in Laguna province.

According to Philippines News Agency, the suspects, identified as alias Leovigildo, 38, and Allan, 45, both residents of Barangay Bi±an, Pagsanjan, were apprehended at the parking lot of a mall in Barangay Gatid, Sta. Cruz town at 5:05 p.m. Monday.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of five pieces of knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing 500 grams of suspected shabu, valued at PHP3.4 million, along with buy-bust money.

The seized items have been sent to the PDEA laboratory for chemical analysis and proper disposition.

The suspects are currently detained at the local PDEA facility and are set to face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
