214 Nabbed in QCPD’s Intensified Weeklong Anti-Crime Ops

Quezon City: A total of 214 persons facing various offenses were arrested during intensified weeklong anti-illegal drugs and anti-criminality operations in Quezon City from Jan. 19 to 25.

According to Philippines News Agency, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) acting director Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. stated that the operations led to the arrest of 64 wanted persons, 69 illegal gamblers, 77 drug suspects, and four individuals for possession of illegal firearms.

During the period, Buslig reported that a total of 48 anti-drug operations were conducted, leading to the arrest of 77 drug suspects and confiscation of PHP2.36 million worth of illegal drugs.

For the campaign against wanted persons, 64 individuals were apprehended, of which 32 were most wanted persons, Buslig noted.

In efforts against illegal gambling, a total of 28 operations resulted in the arrest of 69 gamblers and the confiscation of PHP26,307 in bet money.
