Bataan: Police arrested three most wanted persons (MWPs) during separate operations in Bataan, the Police Regional Office-Central Luzon (PRO-3) reported Tuesday. The arrests were all made Monday, according to a belated news release.
According to Philippines News Agency, the first arrest took place at around 11:30 a.m. in Barangay Wawa, Abucay. Joint agents from the Abucay Municipal Police Station and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Bataan Provincial Field Unit (PFU) apprehended a fisher known as alias 'Vin,' who is the No. 2 regional MWP for six counts of rape.
Later that day, at approximately 6 p.m., two more fugitives were captured. Alias 'Nel,' 38, from Barangay West Calaguiman, was arrested by officers from the Samal Municipal Police Station and CIDG Bataan PFU. He is the provincial No. 8 MWP and has a warrant for two counts of child abuse.
In Barangay Tuyo, Balanga City, alias 'Dennis,' a truck driver and city-level No. 3 MWP, was served a warrant of arrest for drug-related offenses.
'We will not stop until every fugitive is held accountable under the law,' PRO-3 chief Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Pe±ones Jr. said in the news release.
