Batac city: The 911 Satellite Command Center in Batac City, Ilocos Norte, is set to fully operate in March to enhance the Bureau of Fire Protection's emergency quick response and coordination. Fire Supt. Roxanne Parado, provincial fire marshal of the BFP Ilocos Norte, confirmed this in an interview after a site visit to the facility, which is nearing completion.

According to Philippines News Agency, the project is 97 percent complete, and the facility is expected to be fully operational in March. Parado highlighted that the project is a flagship program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government under Secretary Jonvic Remulla. Located at the Batac City Fire Station, the 911 facility will serve as a vital nerve center for emergency coordination with partner agencies.

The top-tier emergency dispatch facility will significantly enhance the BFP's ability to serve and protect, setting a benchmark for excellence not only in Ilocos Norte but also nationwide. Equipped with state-of-the-art emergency operations equipment, the facility is poised to modernize emergency response and streamline communication, delivering faster, more efficient public service.
