Antique 4Ps Members Encouraged to Avail of Lifeline Rate Program

Antique: Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in Antique are being encouraged to take advantage of the Lifeline Rate program offered by the Department of Energy, which provides a discount on their monthly electricity bills. Jeffrey Gabucay, the 4Ps Provincial Link in Antique, stated in an interview that efforts are underway to assist eligible 4Ps households in registering with the Antique Electric Cooperative (Anteco), the province's power distributor, to access the program.

According to Philippines News Agency, Gabucay emphasized the importance of 4Ps household beneficiaries visiting their respective Municipal Operations Offices to receive assistance in availing the subsidy. Beneficiaries are required to present valid identification cards, their latest electric bill under their name, or a barangay certification if the electric connection is not in their name. Currently, the province has 21,885 household beneficiaries participating in the 4Ps program.

Gabucay also highlighted the ongoing monitoring of the transition plan for 4Ps beneficiaries who graduated in 2025. He reported that 5,464 households graduated from the program and efforts are being made to track their progress. Currently, around 1,727 households are being monitored for potential graduation from the 4Ps by the third quarter of this year.

The monitoring process aims to ensure that graduates have received support, such as skills training or livelihood opportunities, from local government units (LGUs) or partner government agencies. This support is crucial to prevent them from reverting to previous economic conditions and to promote sustainable development for these households.
